Liked the way the author developed the characters. I would say the violence is descriptive, but more in a sci-fi kind of way. I did not feel that it was way over the top or something I wouldn't want my 11 year old to read. The bad guys are really bad and in my opinion deserving of ever|About the Author|Karen E. Hoover has loved the written word for as long as she can remember. Her favorite memory of her dad is the time he spent with Karen on his lap, telling her stories for hours on end.
