One every so often for emphasis is fine, but there were more partial sentences than full ones. And every detail/event doesn't have to be explained. For example, just say "I grabbed my wallet off the dresser", not "I walked 17 feet|About the Author|I write young adult fiction about teens who are figuring out what it means to make your own choices.
